Alpha's music program is over a century old, and has been called "the birthplace of the reggae sound" by Billboard Magazine and a "dream factory" by the BBC. Alpha alumni include Yellowman, Leroy Smart, Johnnie Osbourne, Don Drummond, and many more. Today, Alpha is a day school for unattached youth in need of vocational training. And now visitors are able to play music on campus as well. Check the details below and visit the Airbnb page to see when the next Reggae 101 is ready for booking!

This experience offers visitors the special opportunity to play reggae music with alumni of the renowned Alpha Institute on the school campus. You’ll get the real feel for the music from those who have lived it. We’ll walk the grounds of the school, see each of the training areas offered, and meet current students. Do you have a song that you want to learn? Please let us know. We'll have a one-hour reggae jam—no experience required. You’ll play along with Alpha musicians who are ready to introduce you to the music and the message that has taken Alpha and reggae worldwide.
