TONY GREGORY

Picture
Tony Gregory attended the Alpha Boys' School until 1954 and in 1958 turned professional playing with Big Band Bertie King. Tony toured through Central America, The Bahamas, USA, Canada, Germany and the UK, then moved back to Jamaica setting up his publishing company "Sunland Music" and entertainment company, "Gregory Entertainment Limited’.  Tony now concentrates on controlling music copyrights, not only songs that he composed himself but also from other composers.  Tony also has a publishing company in Germany, TeeGee Songs which he has had from 1976.

"Gypsy Girl", Gregory's big hit in 1983 was initially rejected by the most popular labels before going on to sell 60,000 copies in Jamaica alone!
