ANDRE BLAKE PUTS RIGHT FOOT FORWARD
A heartfelt thank you to Andre Blake for sponsoring boots for the Alpha Vocational Training Centre football team. At Alpha, we train for life and for many young men at Alpha and around the world, football is life. We are most grateful to Mr Blake for helping Alpha students step confidently onto the field regardless of who they play against.
The goalkeeper for the Jamaican National Team, Mr Blake is also a 3X Major League Soccer Goalie of the Year where he plays for the Philadelphia Union. “I am glad to be of help,” says Blake, "and I’m sending best of luck to the Alpha Vocational Training Centre football team!”

Congratulations Kenrick Edwards

The staff and students of the Alpha Vocational Training Centre extend hearty congratulations to 2nd year music student Kenrick Edwards who received the 2024-2025 Bob Marley Foundation Award at the Alpha Vocational Training Centre. This award speaks to Kenrick's passion, talent and potential, all of which embody the spirit and legacy of Bob Marley.

At Alpha, we train for life. The Vocational Training Centre's comprehensive programme focuses on individual needs and practical solutions through a targeted mix of academic, vocational and social services. Guided by 140+ years of service, Alpha’s culture of caring and committed support means young people and their families have a reliable partner for personal and professional development.
Academic development is the foundation of training and all students have the opportunity to sit for City & Guild exams. Vocational training is where Alpha students apply their improved math and English abilities. Students may select vocational training in barbering, carpentry, screen printing or music performance. Access to job expos, work experience, internships and career workshops are key elements of the Alpha experience.
