Alpha's first every vinyl release features one of Jamaica's most iconic ska songs of all time!

This special release recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong studio in Kingston is the first ever release featuring Alpha School of Music students. Not only that, with the iconic ska anthem, "Eastern Standard Time" on Side A (a Studio One anthem by the Skatalites) and the original Jamaican mento, "Rukumbine", on Side B, (given a classic 1960s arrangement by Alpha band director Peter Ashbourne) this record is a snapshot of Jamaican popular music just as it was about to take off.

The release include a 4-page insert describing the unique project and the musicians involved.
